$myVar = &PEAR::getStaticProperty('myVar');
?>
You must use a reference, or they will not persist!

Return value
mixed
-
A reference to the variable. If not set, it will be
auto initialised to NULL.
Example
Using getStaticProperty()
<?php
require_once 'PEAR.php';
class myClass {
function setValue( $set)
{
$foo = &PEAR::getStaticProperty('myClass', "foo");
$foo = $set;
}
function view()
{
print PEAR::getStaticProperty('myClass', "foo");
}
}
myClass::setValue('value = foo');
myClass::view();
?>
This would print
value = foo
